Exploring Spaces

This project explores the space around and between objects or images and the notion that giving a subject plenty of negative space gives definition, creates simplicity and removes clutter.

Here drawings around the theme explore negative space where the area around the object appears to be more relevant than the subject itself. Jadene has often been drawn to geometric imagery and looks to futuristic designers such as Craig Green for inspiration. Her fashion collection incorporates shapes and silhouettes that are taken directly from the studies she has created at home during lock down.
