What will I study?
The Level 4 Diploma in Garment Technology for Fashion Retail has been designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to progress to employment in the fashion retail sector.
This course will help students understand and gain the production techniques used by garment technologists within the fashion retailing industry, looking at the relationship between the designer, buyer and manufacturer and how this relates operations within the fashion retail industry.There will also be exploration into construction techniques, the production processes and how technical departments work with factories in achieving mass production for the commercial retailing industry.
What are the additional entry requirements for this course?
learners are expected to have qualifications at level 3, A Levels, Extended Diploma or FAD. Direct entry will be considered for those without these formal qualifications. All applicants will be required to participate in an interview and will be expected toprovide evidence of their prior learning and achievement, such as, a portfolio, related academic, work experience, a personal statement, a strong reference.
